Honoring the Life of Dedicated Teacher Razieh Zamani
In the ruins of the Shajareh Tayebeh elementary school, the loss of innocent students is compounded by the heartbreaking loss of those who dedicated their lives to guiding them. Today, we formally add dedicated Teacher Razieh Zamani to our permanent archive of memory. Born in 1991, she was a profoundly dedicated third-grade educator who lost her life alongside her young students during the devastating missile attack.
An Empty Tomb and a Brother's Grief
Because of the horrific nature of the triple-tap missile strike, the destruction was absolute. Unlike some victims whose remains were recovered immediately, there was no physical trace of dedicated Teacher Razieh Zamani for an agonizingly long time. Left in a state of unbearable uncertainty, her devastated family was forced to construct a symbolic tomb to mourn her absence.
In a deeply moving interview, her brother, Mahmoud Zamani, described the family's psychological state during this dark period. He shared that their existence became "dazed, sorrowful, waiting, and exhausted; like all those who know they will have a lost one for the rest of their lives." This profound grief highlights the devastating psychological toll inflicted upon the families of the victims.
The Tragic Minab Educator DNA Identification
The month-long nightmare of waiting finally came to a tragic end on March 29, 2026. Alongside the remains of young student Mohammad Taha Jafari, the official Minab educator DNA identification process confirmed her identity. Only then could her family lay her to rest.
The loss of an educator in a classroom is a grave violation of international law. Organizations such as Education International consistently stress that teachers must be protected as fundamental pillars of society. The heroic legacy of dedicated Teacher Razieh Zamani - who stayed with her students until the very end - will never be forgotten. We urge the global community to demand justice for her stolen life.
